I'm gonna start a thread on the finance board that will go into this in detail, but basically I think China is a house of cards that will stumble hard within the next 5 years. I was never good on precise timing. But China has too many headwinds to stay on track.

Accounting irregularities masking big problems. Massive bad debts not being written off by their banks that are basically giving them their easy money bubble. The north china aquifer is drying up and that will have huge implications of China's food import demands. Rising inflation. Rising employment rates. Slack demand for exports globally.

I'm not saying it's gonna be Lebannon, but those people who think it's gonna stay this good are likely the same guys who thought Japan was gonna rule the world back in 1985.
