My daddy always warned me to beware of a man with a silly grin.  Perry has a silly grin.  I am taking my daddy's advice!

Bergy! Where ya been?! Perry's "silly grin" is what's called a "photogenic smile," and it's helped him get elected a number of times. If you want to see a silly grin, I suggest...

Shit for brains sometimes can be traced to a shit sandwich consumed between fundraisers. Just a precaution...

Maybe this will help, note the Independents in the July, that is a huge loss in just a few months.

A new Zogby International poll shows even the left is drifting away from Barack Obama's side.
His re-election numbers are the lowest of his presidency so far – at 38 percent.
And only 35 percent of independents, whose support will be crucial for his re-election, would vote to re-elect him if the election were held today.
The poll also shows 55 percent of those surveyed say they want someone new at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Of those surveyed, 17 percent of Democrats want to see a change, as do 55 percent of independents and 94 percent of Republicans.

Ah.

Even here in Ohio -- the "Heart of it All" -- dawn breaks once in a while.

You're saying that independents are abandoning DEAR LEADER in droves, not Perry. (Read back over the posts. It was kinda iffy.) And YES, I agree. They are shedding their rose-colored glasses and seeing clearly for the first time since 2008.

We're after the same thing, my friend. I just happen to think that Rick Perry is the way to get it done.

But why?
He isn't a Conservative with core values, look at his stance on the border, that alone is a huge mark against him.
So are you sold on him, or are you willing to wait and see who else enters the fray?

I for one am not sold on Perry. But I'm curious my friend, who else do you expect to enter the race? Who are you willing to put your faith into to beat Obama outside of the current field?

I like Cain, but I don't think he has much of a chance, but right now I'm backing Bachman, but I still expect Palin to be a late entry.

I too back Bachman, I see Cain as someone's veep. If Palin is going to get in, she needs to do it now.

She doesn't have to yet, she leads the MSM around like a bitch in heat.
She could easily stay valid over the next couple of months without doing much of anything but riding around in her bus.

But I believe she will make a move this month one way or another.
And yes, Cain would would be a good choice as VP. 8)

Yep, the MSM follow Palin like the shallow paparazzi they've become, but it's not because they love the woman. They are desperately hoping she'll fall on her face just once, at which time they'll start jumping up and down on her like the sandbox bullies they are.

Herman Cain wouldn't be a bad choice for VP; I doubt strongly if he can beat Dear Leader as a presidential candidate.

Perry/Palin would be a good ticket. Perry/Bachmann would be formidable, VERY difficult for Dear Leader and Barney Rubble to defeat.

True, but I'd rather Perry be a VP, I want a true Con at the helm.

And you really, honestly believe that would be Sarah Palin?  Or Michelle Bachman?

I guess I'm looking at it this way: we can't elect a president worse than the one we have. We MUST get rid of Dear Leader.

I'm casting about, trying to find the face/message that will get the job done, and Rick Perry is there. No, he's not the perfect conservative candidate, but he compares QUITE nicely with the others in the race. And he's ELECTABLE.
