Hope and very little change.

"Turns out, his first inauguration speech offered a lot of hope, but not necessarily a ton of change."

The scary part is a significant portion of our population still believe in this motor mouth.  He has said on numerous occasions that he needed a second term to finish his work.  Well he got what he asked for but just what is it that will be finished?

The sad part is that even those in Obama's very silly camp are slowly admitting that he is nothing and has nothing.......but they will still fantasize dreamily that anything that could make him pres for life would be totally awesome.

It's Idiocracy, and Obama is their Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho.  Biden the perfect Frito Pendejo.

I highly doubt anything will be 'finished', but he will just continue the path he has taken in his first term.

- Continue to expand American power throughout the world through military action

- Change the medical system to some degree ( probably wont help the average Joe much, but it does need to change otherwise our economy will  not be able to operate due to the increasingly high costs) Which means shifting the burden of costs from business to the state.

- Socially, I suspect he will try to enact some change on the gay issue ( he has to appear left wing at times otherwise people won't think he is the hope and change man)

- On the gun issue nothing much will happen, perhaps some minor changes that will take forever to pass but that is it. But he will always appear to be doing something about enacting change.

- In terms of the economy, he will do what every president does, continue the status quo and make sure the big stay big.

My 2 cents.

Well, that sounds about like another 6-8 trillion over budget and into deficit.

Sadly I agree with you here. This also happens on the right too. Many on this forum believed Romney was going to be the change we needed and If people who are interested in politics could believe his crap, you can guarantee many more in the general public did too.

Unfortunately we live in a very black and white country ( red states and blue states). Even if you don't agree/like/think Romney or Obama will represent you well, people still defend them based on their political history and alliances.

Fox, were pretty much in agreement over all, except in the details, eg.
"shifting the burden of costs from business to the state. "
He cares nothing about business, it's more about shifting costs from the state to business, or hiding it in another tax, or rather taxes.
He doesn't need gays anymore, the Dims were only using them, as well as blacks and any other group they claim to represent as the trodden.
And I agree, the gun issue is totally dead, it's no longer a sharp tool and will go back in the box until they can exploit another tragedy.

Over all I agree, in a sense, he's a lame duck, all he has is EOs to give the illusion of power, but essentially he will have to do as the Pubs demand if he wants anything accomplished, and using the media to abuse them isn't very bright.
I don't see one thing coming out of his admin in the coming years, maybe some EPA BS or something along those lines, as well as other crap he's had in the pipe, but there won't be anything new to shock us with.

Totally disagree.

We now have mountains of evidence that nothing Obama has done, or is doing, works.

For Romney, we have nothing but your opinion.  Romney's been a success everywhere he's been, a true training ground for the issues that face the country.

You seem like a nicer, more reasonable version of a liberal.

But you still rely on little dishonest dodges and misdirections like this.

It's just like "oh it's wrong, both sides do it" whenever the left gets caught, but certainly no complaints while they're getting away with it.

Or "two wrongs don't make a right" to complain about something the right is doing, but never a peep when the left did it originally.

Just little kiddie games like all that, it gets old.  Engage us without all those little games.

The Stranger

In the last few weeks it seems as though Romney was right about a few things has anyone seen the MSM saying so?
