many democracies shoot their own people. Cuba, Venezuela come to mind right off the bat. I believe those governments were elected in the 90% range. Without a constitution to protect the people from the government there is not that much difference from a communist government and a "democracy". Our democrats in office here can't wait to have the socialist system here that is enjoyed by most communist governments. This forum is one of the few places one can go and see the U.S. called what is, a constitutional republic, not a democracy.

Never forget, one definition of a democracy is "mob rule". You are seeing that in Syria now. Next question to ask, why is the SOS cheering?

Lets not forget "Democratic" Kampuchia AKA Cambodia before Pol Pot and his Khmer Rouge thugs took over. Of course they did give condemned prisoners the option of being beaten to death by crow bars or a bag over the head and thrown into the Tonle Sap lake.

As long as it's labeled "Democracy". leftists will always support murder in their pursuit over law and order.
Assad was the only leader in the M/E who allowed Christianity to flourish. This why the left wanted him out of power or dead.
