Title: EU Kills Off "Green Push" Goes Fracking
Post by: Solar on January 20, 2014, 10:10:36 AM
The EU's reputation as a model of environmental responsibility may soon be history. The European Commission wants to forgo ambitious climate protection goals and pave the way for fracking -- jeopardizing Germany's touted energy revolution in the process.

Welcome, Frackers

In addition, the authority wants to pave the way in the EU for the controversial practice of fracking, according to the daily Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung. The report says the Commission does not intend to establish strict rules for the extraction of shale gas, but only minimum health and environmental standards.

I think they're tired of paying nearly $10.0 per gallon for gas, not to mention electricity, but we all know fuel prices effect more than the gas pump.
I love it when libs realize their idiocy affect them as well.

Libs can only take so much of their own crap.  That's why conservatism always wins in discussions and debates.

That is soooo true! Liberalism is pure emotion, critical thinking wins out every time. You'd think libs would have figured out, you can't run a Nation on "Feelings".

With unemployment in most EU member countries higher than here, some "Fracking" jobs will get their economies on the upswing. Did here, for some member states of the Union.

Not to mention most of Europe's NG comes from Gazprom via Russia. The EU would like nothing more than to tell Russia where to stick their pipeline.
