It would definitely be good to replace the Communist Levin with any Republican.

The funny thing about Michigan is, we have a Republican Legislature and an almost Republican Governor, and we have twice as many Republican Reps in the House over Democras, but we're not represented nationally in the Senate by even one Republican.  It's time for CHANGE dammit!

Really? So if the GOP wins 20 seats it wouldn't be a "wave" if the elections were close?

And how has the GOP failed to nationalize the election when all the Democrat candidates are running ads distancing themselves from Obama?

Because they have no national agenda but  if this poll is accurate they need to support  Land.

Statistically Peters has had between a 7 and 10-point lead over Land, with a new poll from the Detroit News and corporate-sister WDIV-TV pegging it at 9 points, with Land trailing badly in heavily-Democratic southeastern Michigan (my region).

QuoteDemocratic U.S. Rep. Gary Peters holds a 9-percentage point lead over Republican Terri Lynn Land in Michigan's hotly contested U.S. Senate race, according a new statewide poll conducted for The Detroit News and WDIV (Channel 4).

Peters led Land 44 percent to 35 percent in a survey of 600 likely voters, which had a margin of error of plus-minus 4 percentage points.

About 15 percent of likely voters said they remain undecided in a race to fill retiring Democratic Sen. Carl Levin's seat that could help decide the balance of power in the U.S. Senate next year.

Land's Election Day vulnerabilities lie in southeast Michigan, where the congressman from Bloomfield Township holds a "commanding" 17.5 percentage-point lead among likely voters, 49.5 percent to 32 percent, said pollster Richard Czuba, president of the Glengariff Group Inc.

"Terri Lynn Land is getting walloped in southeast Michigan," Czuba said. "She is losing big down there."

Also, the Donks are now roasting Land for mentioning she is a mother.
