I am always amazed at the ignorance displayed by people who have no real business sense.

THE UNITED STATES IS RUNNING A TRILLION DOLLAR SPENDING DEFICIT ANNUALLY (on best day).
Each Federal Worker cost the Taxpayer $100,000 per year to employ.
Solution: Fire 10,000 Federal Workers today (with 30 days notice) saving $1 Trillion Annually.
Exempt from Lay Federal Layoff: Service Members in Harms way, Field Cops, Field First Repsponers, and any Federal Employee earning less than $25 per hour.
There are 3,000,000 useless Federal Bureaucrats workers sucking off the Government teit. 10,000 Layoffs represents .03% of the current useless workforce.

How about we start with 29 of the 30 personal assistants that Michelle has, all other FLOTUS have only had one. Then, get rid of the three calligraphers. Then tell all members of congress that in 30 days they will have to pay for the saleries of their own assistants.
How about if we stop giving Money to Egypt, Lybia and the Palestinians.

Is it just me, or does anyone else think it is naive in the extreme to think that the same political whores who drove us to the edge of the "fiscal cliff" and blithely ran up this humungous deficit will now see the errors of their ways, get Fiscal Religion (so to speak) and undo all that they have done?

Laying off a large percentage of the Federal work force, would be popular politically. But, you're assuming that politicians are a bunch of cynics who are only interested in the next election. In reality, more than a few of them are ideologues who actually believe in big government. Cutting the federal government, is like asking true believers to convert. :unsure:
