The Cuban government's going to let private farmers cultivate their crops on government land and none too soon. The Cuban coffee crop, which was at 60,000 tons per year at the time of the revolution has steadily declined.
Last year's coffee harvest? 6,700 tons.
So Cuban's won't have very much coffee to drink. Of course they can't go and buy coffee on the international market because Cuba's too broke. Another of the benefits of a couple of decades of communism.
