Bye in large we have been saying this for years.  The Democratic party is NOT what it use to be.

How did I get here?

In politics today, where are today's larger-than-life figures, ready to inspire the next generation of public servants to "ask not what your country can do for you ..."?

When I met President Reagan, I felt inspired. I want to feel inspired again. Like Reagan, I think the time has come for me to leave the party I've been a member of my entire life — not because I want to leave it, but because it has already left me.

I don't think I'm ready to become a Republican yet (although despite their lack of solutions, I still find myself rooting for the Republicans in the midterm elections for the first time I can recall).

When will the average Democrat voter realize that her is being represented by dinosaurs? All the young blood is in the Conservative wing of the Republican Party.

Piscopo is the sort of D that has been driven out of the D Party over the past 45+ years: the ones who think the US is great and become greater; the ones who believe the US should be strong and support other decent nations against those who would try to take them over; they identify more with FDR, Truman, and Kennedy than with Carter, Clinton, and Obama.

I always like Piscopo.  He's the anti-Franken.  I'd love to see him whip Franken's ass, that would be funny; SNL funnymen dustup.

Besides being a cool weight-lifter type, he exudes a common sense more suited to a conservative.  Again, anti-Franken in every way.

Less dinosaur (Clinton / Reid / Kerry) than lunatic radical followers of social media creation Obama.

Wow, just read the Piscopo piece.....he's basically tea party in his beliefs.  Let the Hollywood, MSM, DNC, Obama-mob hate for him commence.

I just hope there are many of these type democrats are finally seeing the light. The dem party has been taken over by the far left and the so called moderate dems are totally ignored. Pelosi made it a point to destroy the "blue dogs" because they would not go along with her idiocy.

I think that if you compare the landscape today with the political landscape of say the founders era, MOST American Conservatives today, ARE Democrats of Jeffersons era.

They sure aren't the conservatives of that era (Torries).

But that party's been gone since At least Kenedy, if not longer.
One of every five Americans you meet has a mental illness of some sort. Many, many, of our veteran's suffer from mental illness like PTSD now also. Help if ya can. :) http://www.projectsemicolon.org/share-your-story.html
And no you won't find my "story" there. They don't allow science fiction. :)

I was thinking that party was more of a carry over from the British Empire in the New England region.
