An organization called the "Christmas Tree Checkoff Task Force," made up of "natural Christmas tree producers and importers," has petitioned the government of the United States of America for help in promoting its product and in warding off competition.


And the U.S. Department of Agriculture is taking it quite seriously, requesting public comments on a proposed "Christmas Tree Promotion, Research and Information Order."  :o

Unbelievable! Our government is out of control. It has too much money to waste.

I wish we would all join together and agree to REVOLT thru withholding our taxes from our government for 2 years! This government has become so wasteful.

Christmas tree importers?
That in and of itself sounds wrong.
My area is chocked full of XMAS tree farms, I let people cut them for free on my property, but import?
Something is very, very wrong with this picture, sounds like a special interest group with special interest in our tax dollars.
