Look at Hussein's left hand, right at his wristwatch strap. See how the shape of the loops in the handset-cord change, compared to farther right (and lower on the same cord, closer to the phone itself)?

It appears the wristwatch strap and part of Obama's hand were also altered, to reroute the cord for the final "photo."
