If she once again refuses to issue licenses to gay couples she should be reassigned or let go.

She was elected.  The only way they can remover her is for the Legislature to do it, and I think they are on her side.  They voted in a law that prevents issuing licenses to gay couples.  This is state law vs federal law.

Not unlike other agencies refusing to follow federal law.  Sanctuary cities comes to mind.
The danger to America is not Barack Obama but the citizens capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency.

From what I can see, she is holding the tennis racket wrong.

The judge was looking for an out.  After making a fool of himself.

I suspect that the leftists,
high from pleasuring themselves with the aroma of their own farts,
actually believed that there would be an upwelling of popular support
for their "enlightened" position,
and were astonished and stunned by the popular backlash they received.
Here are the 10 RINOs who voted to impeach Trump on Jan. 13, 2021 - NEVER forget!
WY  Liz Cheney      SC 7  Tom Rice             WA 4  Dan Newhouse    IL 16  Adam Kinzinger    OH 16  Anthony Gonzalez
MI 6  Fred Upton    WA 3  Jaime Herrera Beutler    MI 3  Peter Meijer       NY 24  John Katko       CA 21  David Valadao

But they still won, and they know that. They just can't be as openly vindictive about their WIN -- for now.

I believe that's exactly what happened here. Like the Bundy Ranch issue, the left is deathly afraid of martyrs on the Right and a rejection of leftist oppression.
The left do one thing well, they read people like an adult reads a child's book, with extreme ease, and they read what was to be an up-welling of condemnation of a leftist agenda.
What the left fear more than anything, is a blanket rejection of their policies and that's exactly where this was leading and those on high demanded an end to it, and the judge was told with authority, back your ass down, now!

Yup, too much focus by too many political types on the right. Huckleberry hound made a big to do over it But Ted Cruz was there earlier in the same day and some of the other Presidential candidates made unfriendly noises towards the Judge and raised a lot of legal issues with the fact the SCOTUS ruling goes against state law. I think Hizzoner sees the handwriting on the wall, one of these guys just might be the next President......

As I said, American's usually side with the underdog and Davis definitely was that.

She was made to be an example of what happens when authority is defied. It backfired in a big way.
What amazes me is, the leftists will always cower in the face of rebellion, yet the Right never ever capitalizes on it.
And I have a pretty good idea as to why. Our so called leadership is chosen for us with leftist walking orders to keep rebellion under control.

Well, it ain't over by a long shot.  The judge backed off but with admonitions to the clerk to not interfere with the deputies that were issuing the licenses.  It remains to be seen what action the clerk will take that may compound her problems.  I'm hoping she will push the envelope on this one and just see how much hell she can righteously raise.  She was employed at a time when the laws were stricter and she gladly accepted employment based on the facts and laws concerning the job were better for her.
