The House of Representatives just passed S. Con. Res. 3, the budget resolution that is the first step in repealing Obamacare. As we reported in the wee hours Thursday morning, the Senate version of the bill passed with a 51 to 48 margin. In the House, legislation passed 277-198 just minutes ago.

The budget measure instructs the House and Senate to begin work on drafting repeal legislation.

Now is when "budget reconciliation" comes into play; the ability to pass a repeal bill with a simple majority rather than a super majority. It is by that method that the Affordable Care Act was passed in the first place. Fitting.

Committees now get to work drafting repeal legislation, which has a deadline of January 27th.

I have one possible issue with this. Would it be better if Tom Price was in place before they do this since he has been against Obamacare from the beginning?

I agree.  This vote was about getting the money ready for Price to reintegrate into the Budget, but it sure isn't titled that way. 

The GOP better come up with a replacement plan ASAP. Otherwise, they will own this disaster.

Commiecare did nothing but hinder the free mkt insurance industry. What's needed is even fewer restrictions on the mkt.
All it was, was a govt insurance plan, one designed to destroy the rest of the mkt, in turn forcing the overall collapse of the mkt and forcing everyone into the govt plan.

I myself had no problems with what I had before b o and the Dem's came into power. 

You have to vote for it so you can see what in it.  You can keep your health care plan and your doctors.  You will save 2500$ a year. BS!!!!

Exactly! The only thing that changed, was the price went up across the board, and still millions were without insurance.
