Yes, I know this was the House, but I have to wonder what the Senate rules are regarding the shanigans of their members with book deals?  Also, did Bernie funnel campaign funds to his publisher that were laundered back to him in royalties for a book (is this what made him a millionaire?)

Wright Becomes First Speaker to Resign

" Sales of his book "Reflections of a Public Man." The committee specified seven instances in which Wright made speeches and the sponsoring organizations, in lieu of giving him an honorarium, purchased copies of the book. "The committee has reason to believe that the subject book sales were intended to avoid the limitations of law and House rules," the report said. Wright was limited in the total of honoraria he could receive, but book royalties were exempt from such limits. Wright received 55 percent of the sales as royalty payments. "
