Bernie Kerik: 'Harshest' Gun Control Laws Won't Stop Evil

The "harshest of the harsh gun laws" do little to stop people with criminal or evil intentions, former New York Police Commissioner Bernard Kerik tells Newsmax TV.

In an interview with "Newsmax Prime" host J.D. Hayworth, the author of "From Jailer to Jailed" said the "roughest gun laws" in cities and states "really make no difference. When the bad guys want to get guns, they get them and they use them for what they want."

"I don't blame the guns," he said. "I don't blame gun owners. I don't blame the gun manufacturers. ... I blame the people that use guns to commit crimes."

Meanwhile the usual suspects are calling for more gun control laws or totally abolishing the 2nd Amendment. It matters not to them that more laws will do nothing to reduce gun crimes, all they want is to remove guns from the hands of law abiding citizens, while the criminals will continue to get the guns they need to do what they want. Kerik is right, it's not the guns it's the people.

Stay out of the way of those liberal democrats calling for more gun control. That is a winner for us in 2016. I would like to see an all out race from Hillary, Bernie and O'Malley as to who can be the looniest on taking away guns from citizens.

You'd think they'd learn by now....we've had gun control since 1968.....Led largely by Ted Kennedy and Lame Brain Johnson. Instead gun violence related crimes have soared.

Johnson was always a racist at heart. to him gun control was about making sure blacks weren't able to protect themselves from Southern segregationists. Indeed all gun control laws are about keeping the "wrong kind" of people disarmed.

Yes the problem with that, however, is that the "wrong kind of people" today, are the everyday average joe citizen.

Not some nut, or crazy, as we are supposed to believe. Although I must admit I was a little shocked to learn today that not only can I legally buy an M-16-a1 rifle, or an Ar-15 rifle. But since I'm not a felon I can buy any hand gun I want too.

I thought for sure, my disorderly conduct conviction would preclude me from owning a handgun.
