"Held prisoner" my aunt Fanny.  The pustule is a traitor, pure and simple. He deserted in time of war, and gave information to the enemy.  He should be shoved against a wall and shot.

He deserves the same punishment as Pvt. Eddie Slovik got in WWII - a firing squad.

Try his worthless ass for treason, at least that'll get him the death penalty.

Many time you have multiple charges for the same offence! IE: Murder or manslaughter! With this charge over his head he may be forced to accept the max on the desertion charge to avoid the trial!
