Anecdotal evidence your are correct-my brother and his wife work for the federal government (OPM) and each and everyday on their way to work they figure out new ways to fuck the American taxpayer and get as much out of the system as they can. They don't think of it as a job but as a way to become rich beyond their wildest dreams!!!! To think they spent all that time in college, got those degrees and attended all that training just to scam the system. Leeches everywhere!!!!

I posted that obviously made up story to point out the absurdity of some on this board who paint people with such a wide brush that they have lost any sense of proportion. To think that ALL federal employees are just sucking at the tit of the taxpayer is ridiculous. If that is the way you think I'm truly in sorrow for your diminished capacity......are there people that take advantage? Sure Is it wrong? of course. But it is not any more egregious then the guy down the hall that spends his days working very hard to not do anything of consequence while taking home a salary well into 6 figures. It happens, private businesses, federal, state or local government, it's human nature that some will take advantage.

I didn't see anyone say ALL govt employees are leeches.  The basic concept is that federal employment is growing massively to create the biggest govt possible, to create dependency for employment and wages, and to make the govt so big that it can't ever be shrunk again.

Thus a large portion of govt employees is fulfilling these progressive goals, not actually accomplishing or creating anything.

I find federal employees are like teachers.  You have the good ones and you have the Leaches.  In this day and age you have more Leaches then good employees.
