This is real.  Under the stimulus plan the muslim did, they ran a fiber optics cable right down a state hwy that only connects to govt. offices.  No residential hook ups.  This cable runs at least for 40 miles.  We have nothing out here in the woods, we are on satellite for everything.  Yet my RINO rep yammers on about getting us mountain folk hooked up to high speed internet.  Well, the damn cable is running maybe 200 feet from me since our driveway is right off the hwy.  But no hook up for us preppers, rednecks and deplorables.

The revolution will not be televised.  Freedom of speech, freedom of religion, next will be the 2A.  My guess is the swamp/marxist/democraps/Joke and his whore are trying somehow to get an AR at that rally.  Then demonize the hell out of the platform as a weapon of war.  Next will be a "buy back" period.  But the buy back will require that you first provide the govt. with your details; how many AR's, serial numbers, how much ammo, where are they stored and where do you live, they will explain that you need to "register" to get your money.  I am really surprised antifa didn't sacrifice one of their soldiers to fall on the sword and bring an AR pistol to the rally.  DOJ might have pre-arranged a plea deal of probation for the gallant antifa soldier.

Most likely the optical cable is part of, or building new fiber infrastructure, building connecting fiber between cites or regen sites.   It doesn't mean you won't get HS internet.  Build the entire path, point A to Z, turn up bandwidth, splice in customers. 

You can't drill a hole into a 30" 2100psi natural gas line for residential gas service. 
Same goes for optical fiber.  Some of it carries Terabits of bandwidth, some carries as little as 1Gigbit.
We get those questions all-the-time... people's eyes just glaze over when we try to explain DWDM, IP, SONET, etc....    You ought to check into HAM radio.   Great for people in the country.
