We could run a post turtle and win. It's a given that the Dims are history and matters not whom they run, which is why they focus on the RINO.

Think about that, because the leftists have no other options than to attack their opponent, one they hope is a RINO, after all, it's not as if they can point to a single accomplishment in the last 6 years.
Just so long as the Establishment doesn't saddle us with another one of those "moderate, maverick" candidates. If Jeb Bush is so desperate for office, let him work his way up, from VP maybe. Then we could test his fund raising ability and his loyalty.

I'm not so certain it's Jeb, rather the RINO pushing and testing the waters.
I'm pretty certain that he won't run, considering no one wants a Bush dynasty, the very same family that brought us this shit pot of capitulation with the Marxists in the first place.

Democrats invented attack politics. They've used it relentlessly their entire party's lifetime, attacking themselves just as viciously as the GOP. That's what's fun about watching a patch-work party of disparate interests at play.

They can't try to sell themselves as closer to the center. Obama's done too good a job of nailing them to the hard-hard-leftist outhouse wall. But to attack a RINO still KEEPS them hard-hard-left --- if voters are to make any comparison between a moderate GOP and just another Red. To soften the hard-hard-left image and attract undecideds and independents they would need a hard-hard-right opponent, to show any softening on their own side.

Basic stuff. But when you have no record to stand on, trash the damn Victrola and whip out a flame-thrower. In the final days of any campaign, nobody runs any more on issues, they're too busy flinging mud. Glorioski, Orphan Annie, it's raining money at the TV and radio stations!

Let them. I gave up cable TV before Obama took office. I get enough Democrat lies over the Internet to make up for it and then some.

That's what I've pretty much been saying. The left has two options, because remaining with Marxist ideals is a failure, which leaves them with going further left into communist territory, or moving right in an attempt at recapturing the youth/moderate voter, their base, the ones that put them in office, the ones abandoning the party for the Libertarian movement.

But really, it matters not what the left does, they already lost in a huge way, and we're no where near the elections, Nov, or 2016.
In truth, the only battle is with the GOP and the socialists trying to stay relevant.

BTW, why would the GOP run Jeb Bush - and take the "Clinton Dynasty" arrow out of their quiver?

I'd think they'd run Newt before than ran another Bush.

BTW, I said something on another thread, and it brings something to mind. If the Dems have decided upon Shillary before the Primary season starts, then we have to be very careful that they don't use a plan, originated by Rush Limbaugh, of all people. We need to decide on a candidate before the Primary season, or in open Primaries, the Dems will all rush over to saddle the GOP with the worse candidate possible. Example? See Adkins, in Missouri.

mdgiles, that is a scary possibility.

Rush Limbaugh called it "Operation Chaos."  If Hillary is crowned early, they could interfere with Republican primaries.

I still think it's early to ASSUME Hillary, though it's not unlikely.  I really have no clue who is going to edge out for Republicans.

Indeed - makes you long for those smoke filled rooms. They can't be all that bad, they gave the Republican party Lincoln. Primaries sound good and democratic, but they allow people who have no real interest in the party to pick it's candidates. At least close them to only party members, of a certain time length , only.
