The anti-war left's been boo-hooing for two+ years with the rest of the left carefully ignoring them. Nice to see the chorus expand to the entire bug-eyed fringe of the left.
Question is "where do he go from here?" If Obama can't move to the left and he can't stay where he is on the political spectrum, what's that leave?
As usual, I can't help but look at things through the lens of my favorite topic: education.
By some measures Obama's already moved pretty far to the right on education but what's really kind of neat is that he's forcing the teacher's unions to move to the right as well.
Obama's been pushing federal influence in the form of Race to The Top but RTTT consists of educational accountability among other policies that drive the teacher's unions crazy. So there's a rightward slant to his education policy. Where's that put the teacher's unions?

Yup, one of the responses to RTTT, and No Chlld Left Behind, was a somewhat embarrassed chorus of shouts about state's rights.
I'm sure the teacher's unions have been reminded of who that puts them in bed with politically but what choice do they have? They've got to have some substantive objection to Obama's education agenda and "I donwannit!" just doesn't cut it. So the teacher's unions, those hot-beds of lefty ideology, are discovering the wonders of state's rights.
