Oh, and "wrinkles" (chitterlings: hog intestines) are okay with a little hot sauce - but don't be in the house while they're being cooked.

My mother arrived in 1970 at age 19. Her family didn't have any federal aid available, no Spanish documents, no coddling. My mother, her oldest sister, and both my grandparents worked to earn everything they had.

My father got here in 1980 and also worked for everything he has.

Sounds very similar to Marco Rubio's background.

There are a lot of legal immigrants here, that have a much greater appreciation for this country than many who were born and raised here.

I'm assuming that your parents didn't raise you to believe that America is a piece of trash.
