We saw a good deal on a new propane fridge at Amazon, so we ordered it, they contacted us to tell us it was out of stock and the new shipment would be another $200.0. over the old price.
So we went to the seller, they had it, said they'd match the price at Amazon, even cut delivery in half to $200.

Wound up actually saving money over Amazon. So take the extra time and do some research, it really does pay off.

Good tip!

I don't use Amazon but I've done that with sellers on Ebay. Contact the seller directly and alot of times they will give you a better deal than what's listed on Ebay.

 Bought a quick connect hay spear for less through the manufacturer than amazon, only six dollars less, but I know the manufacturer made all the profit. Both had free delivery.
