Given a choice between him and Hilary, I'd have no problem voting for Dr Carson. Listening to him on the radio, however, I don't believe it will get that far.

I think he is a sincere and decent man with a good story. I can't picture him as a leader of the U.S. as I think he may be too nice. However, his values, story and desire to improve our country makes him a valuable asset to the GOP. He would be a terrific Surgeon General.

I would agree with that.  Huckabee has been around the block before and failed.

Voters are more than ready for a NEW and YOUNG conservative candidate that has no baggage.  Huckabee DOES carry some baggage around.  As Governor in Arkansas he commuted the sentence of a man that went out and killed someone.  He is also on the wrong side of Common Core....  certainly not a conservative in the truest sense.

With the field so full of good options... Huckabee is yesterday's news.

Well, that's right, I don't speak for the members of this forum & apologize for making it appear that way. In fact, I come from a completely different point of view. I'm one of those who applauds every single conservative candidate for taking the initiative and putting themselves out there in a field that could best be described as vermin infested, kind of like organized crime minus the code of honor.

I consider the suggestion that Ben Carson might be after a cushion job with FOX to be ridiculous. Of course, voters are going to pick apart every little aspect of every candidate. With internet, the TV and the vocal, it's just gotten worse.

I have faith and trust in Dr. Carson until otherwise demonstrated. When I lose that capacity, I'll drop this hobby. Until that time, I'm with Texas Senator Ted Cruz, when he says, with respect to Fiorina and Carson, "Welcome to the GOP Primary field. Your contributions will  make the conservative cause stronger."

No big, I just wanted to point out that the forum doesn't support Carson over another.
As to the Fox job, they're being ridiculous, Carson doesn't need a job.

I'm finished with Carson. He's been far too wishy-washy on the Second Amendment to suit me.

Now he wonders if cops can't be trained to shoot 'aggressors' in the legs. I've also read elsewhere that he's in favor of "smart-gun" technology. Yeah. Right. Shoot 'em in the legs and hit a femoral artery so they'll bleed out real quick.

Huckabee's speech was a dull thud. 

He  " accepted Jesus " at age-10, at a summer-camp?  Quit tellin' us sundry 'n personal stuff. 

And his childhood BB-gun is  " still in mint condition ".   Glad to hear it, Mike.

If you've ever heard of applause being both enthusiastic and confused, this announcement-event was laden with it.  I clicked it off after about 10-minutes.

The debates will not affect who will get to be the Democrat nominee. I'm pretty sure that has already been decided. At the appropriate time, everyone else will be ordered to simply step aside.
