The Left's Confusion with Science and Resistence to Reality

The argument of discrimination, as used as a weapon by the Left has, for a long period of time, been an argument that I wanted to get wrapped up in.  Let me first punctuate my stance by saying true discrimination is stupid.  However, with that said, there should be no local, state or federal law that dictates who I sell my services to.   Regardless, there are laws now on the book, and it looks as if more laws will be passed in the future, that force (not suggest) people to do business with everyone, even when doing so would go against a person's moral, ethical or religious values.
So, understanding that the hue and cry from the left will always be to infringe on the rights of everyone, to protect someone, I would like to share my simple solution for fighting back.  Sell and provide your services to everyone.  Do not thwart the law.  However, there is nothing in the law that says my best effort has to be provided.  You cannot (nor should you) discriminate who is to receive your services, but no one can tell you how those services must be applied.  If I don't want to make you a wedding cake because of my religious leanings, and the law has abandoned my right of religion over your right to practice whatever it is you do, I must make you a cake.

But who says it has to be a good cake?  Who says it has to look a certain way, or even taste a certain way?  Along the same line of thinking, if you are going to force me to paint and produce signage that goes against my core beliefs, then I will produce the sign.  But who says my sign has to be perfect or even legible?  No one can make a person produce a level of perfection, they can only (according to numerous laws) force you to produce the item or service called for by law.  I truly believe if everyone followed this simple logic that the lawsuits would stop, and the issue would fade.

There will always be people who will be rude, inconsiderate and even discriminatory, but you do not have to do business with them.  There are plenty of people in this world who will take your money and produce whatever your heart desires.  Go to those people rather than forcing a person to do something they do not want to do.  And, if you are the person being forced to do something against your wishes, then the answer is to do a horrible job, and I can promise that person will never ask you again.

Next, I need to move to gender identity.  Dysphoria is the opposite of euphoria.  In fact, the dictionary definition describes dysphoria as; a state of unease or generalized dissatisfaction with life.  Rachel Dolezal is a white woman from Portland, OR, who claimed to be black and actually worked as an NAACP Chapter president.  She was unhappy with her life (dysphoria) as a white woman, and wanted instead, to be black. It was discovered she was white and she was ultimately fired from her job for being white.
Based on transgender arguments that are now being played out, I believe Ms. Dolezal was absolutely within her rights to be black, to me she has as much right to be black as any transgender person who claims to be a gender other than what they were born as.  You tell me the difference.  If I feel like a woman, and the law states you have to treat me like a woman, and I can claim on all of my reworked identity documents to be a woman, then by some stretch of the imagination, I am a woman.  I can use the women's restrooms and even play in women's sports.

Using the same logic, why can't someone do that with race, or any other personal identifier.  Elizabeth Warren, the U.S. Senator from Massachusetts, and current presidential candidate, claimed to be native American.  So?  Well, DNA evidence proved conclusively that Senator Warren is NOT native American.  So, what!  She has as much right to be native American as anyone who claims to be of another gender.  DNA will always conclusively affirm our race.  You can't change that.  Same with gender.  There are only two chromosomes, X and Y.  Without going into how two distinct gametes fuse to form a zygote, the X chromosome forms the female and Y chromosome forms the male.  There is no third rail.

Emotions, feelings, desires and even mental wishes, will not make something real that is not. You can cross-dress, you can have elective surgery, you can conduct endless hours of counselling, and use hormone and testosterone therapy until you grow boobs or a mustache (whichever you are going after), but you will always have the chromosomes you were born with.
Lastly, I feel the need to touch on one more point where I feel intellectual dishonesty permeates the Left side of our political aisle.

While the Left claims that "man-made" climate change is absolute, they dispute the viability of life of unborn children.  Babies have been able to survive outside of the womb as early as 27 weeks, and yet the Left's pro-abortion demand is that babies in utero can be aborted up to 39 weeks.  These babies can be aborted up to and include the day of their actual birth.  How is this possible?  And according to this same group, those children born alive during abortion can then be left to die.  What?!?
The Left doesn't believe in human biology, DNA, or the existence of chromosomes, but they believe in man-made climate change.
Climate science is pseudo-science at best.  Someone please, give me an exact 6-month prediction on tornado's, hurricane's and hailstorms across the US. Today's cadre of scientist cannot predict the weather three months from now any better than the first edition of Farmer's Almanac published in 1792.  Yet, we are to believe, the world is about to end because of Al Gore or AOC.

Of course, when one Armageddon target passes, the Climate Religion Hopeful just set another date.  In fact, as early as 1970, the Left has pushed an agenda of the end of the world.  Back in 1970 the undisputed truth was that the end of the world come about in 25 – 30 years and the world would be in the middle of another Ice Age by the year 2000.  Yeah, I know we were supposed to be dead 20 years ago.  In 2006, Al Gore hit the stage with his movie "An Inconvenient Truth" where he made the following 10 claims.  His predictions are followed by reality showcased in red letters.

1. Rising Sea Levels – inaccurate and misleading. Rising as much as 20 feet!  (Al was discovered
purchasing a beachfront mansion! I guess he got it cheap because of impending floods?)

2. Increased Tornadoes – (declining for decades.)

3. New Ice Age in Europe – (they've been spared; it never happened.)

4. Sub Saharan Africa Drying Up – (completely untrue.)

5. Massive Flooding in China and India – (again didn't happen.)

6. Melting Arctic – (false – 2015 represents the largest refreezing in years.)

7. Polar Bear Extinction – (actually they are increasing!)

8. Temperature Increases Due to CO2 – (no significant rising for over 18 years.)

9. Katrina a Foreshadow of the Future – (false – past 10 years, no F3 hurricanes; "longest drought ever!")

10. The Earth Would be in a "True Planetary Emergency" Within a Decade Unless Drastic Action Taken to Reduce Greenhouse Gasses – (never happened.)

This is the Left's "settled climate science", and yet, the science of human biology absolutely is somehow unproven to them.  Go figure.

I made it so it is easier to read. Many of us are older, so without breaks, it's near impossible to folow.

Good rant Tom. Welcome to the forum. Stick around, we need to talk.
I edited your format, it was too hard to read.

Thanks for your reply to my post.  I very much appreciate the edit.  I promise to take better care on my next addition.

No need to reinvent the wheel to debunk climate change hysteria.
In 1905 Ernest Rutherford a New Zealand Nuclear Physicist developed the
geological technique of radiocarbon dating to determine the age of Earth.
His mathematically validated number was 4.56 billion years, + or - 1%.
Also we can intuit from the life and death of plant life that nature is cyclical.
Further geologists have confirmed that many deserts were once green,
that oceans were larger and that the North and South Poles had been
both colder and warmer, much earlier.
Change is the rule, hardly the exception.

And even within recorded history the climate has changed(roman warm period, little ice age, medieval warm period)

In fact it  is starting to look like alot of barbarian migrations had been partially caused by climate change. These each last several centuries in which the populations up north grow and expand. Then it starts getting cooler and bam the land cant feed them anymore and they have to migrate south, right into rome or whatever other major power was around at that point.

And this happens several times throughout history, warmer for some centuries and lots more green and food, and then colder for some centuries with less food and more disease.

The point being that it is natural, not something we can control, and if we are getting warmer then that is a good thing because we can expect more food from the farms.
