Interesting article at WND:

Quotethe story broke wide open on Wednesday when former Senate Majority Leader and 1996 Republican presidential nominee Bob Dole said he would choose Trump over Cruz, going so far as to say a Cruz nomination would be "cataclysmic" for the Republican Party. Another former GOP Senate leader, Trent Lott, has said the same.

But Rep. Louie Gohmert, R-Texas, a Cruz supporter, is not swayed. While honoring Dole for his heroism in World War II, Gohmert told WND and Radio America many mainstream Republicans are worried about what a President Cruz would mean for them.

QuoteSen. Richard Burr, R-N.C., went a step further, reportedly telling donors that he would vote for Bernie Sanders before he'd back Cruz. Burr later asked for a retraction, but the Associated Press is standing by the story.

Gohmert believes the venom in the GOP is a result of Ted Cruz doing something most other politicians don't.

"If you're a person that's interested in lying or you're interested in twisting the truth or you're interested in breaking your promises that you made to get elected, then you're not going to care for Ted Cruz," Gohmert said.

So most of the republicans in congress aren't simply establishment. They also women.

A Cruz nomination would NOT be a disaster for the Republican Party.
It would be a disaster for the corrupt party hacks
who currently rule both parties!

It would be a disaster for the ruling clique
that controls most of the major banks and corporations
and for the lobbyists who funnel their money
to the corrupt elected officials!

As the Republican party leaders have been saying in private
(as Rush Limbaugh has been reporting lately)
the party leaders are more afraid of Cruz or Trump
WINNING the general election
than of either one LOSING the election for the party!
Here are the 10 RINOs who voted to impeach Trump on Jan. 13, 2021 - NEVER forget!
WY  Liz Cheney      SC 7  Tom Rice             WA 4  Dan Newhouse    IL 16  Adam Kinzinger    OH 16  Anthony Gonzalez
MI 6  Fred Upton    WA 3  Jaime Herrera Beutler    MI 3  Peter Meijer       NY 24  John Katko       CA 21  David Valadao

On the other hand Trump fits the corrupt establishment perfectly.  No surprise that they are falling in line to support him.  He is the ultimate candidate to banks, corporations and lobbyists.  I don't think they fear him at all.  If they hadn't wanted him he would have been gone by now.  The party is corrupt.  Government is corrupt.  It isn't by the people and for the people.

Will the RINOs switch to the `RAT party when Cruz is elected?

Burr is just one example of how screwed up the GOP has become.

If the republicans feels that it would be "Cataclysmic" for their party if Cruz get the nomination so be it. I tell you with all my heart it would be great for the United States of America.

The Loser Dole made it clear that he puts his Party ahead of the country. That's the problem with the establishment Republicans.  They hate Trump too, for different reasons, but they thin they can bring him around, at least somewhat. Also, eventually, Trump's mouth and arrogance is going to do him in, although than may be after he wins the nomination or the presidency.

That is the problem with both parties. All they desire is to stay in Washington and pad their own pockets. A patriot like Cruz is like garlic to a vampire to these clowns.

Does this (at least partial) Welshwoman need to take you out back and beat the snots out of you????"

I should have inserted "hysterical" before women.
