It really gets under their skin. Obama has mock it in the past, and today a Russian official mocks American Exceptionalism -- neither understanding what it means or it's history (the term actually came from Stalin):

A Russian official blasted "American exceptionalism" in a tweet Monday morning, saying the deadly shooting at Washington's Navy Yard confirms the worst about the U.S.

"A new shootout at Navy headquarters in Washington — a lone gunman and 7 corpses. Nobody's even surprised anymore," tweeted Alexey Pushkov, a member of the Russian parliamentary foreign affairs committee.

"A clear confirmation of American exceptionalism," he added. <---sarcasm

The comment — met with disgust on Twitter Monday, as the situation at Navy Yard continues to unfold — is a reference to the recent New York Times op-ed by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

I haven't heard much mocking from the left since Occupy fizzled, and most of that was just warmed-over hippie-envy.  Born too late, missed all the action.

Russia's never gotten-over American space-mission envy.  We have a robot that's preparing to scale a mile-high mountain on another planet...  They have a couple guys orbiting in a can.   

Who cares. Russia doesn't believe we're god's chosen people.

Communism has fallen a bit out of favor in Russia recently.  But rest assured that everyone who shares your religion STILL thinks of himself as God, and His only chosen Person.

Stalin was telling American liberals that their version of Communism will end up exactly the same as his did.

And why not?  He knew it wouldn't hurt their ardor in the tiniest bit.  The only willing converts his cause can ever get are those incapable of learning from history -- and that means they're incapable of learning from ANYTHING.

Textbook psychology 101.  Doesn't even need to be a political thing.

Look at OWS.  The worst scum and losers of our society.  Yet Obama and Pelosi praised them as some sort of freedom fighters lol.  That's liberalism today.  Filth, losers, and destroy the winners and workers.
