Really stump him.

At least he's not John Boehner...

Yes.  Trump is an establishment puppet.  That's why the establishment wants Trump.  You're a quick learner.

Why in the world would the establishment not want Trump?

First of all...............do you understand who the establishment is?

Has this sock puppet been on before?

hehheh  Watch out for dat clown behind the tree.  Might be me.

Whilst we are waiting for my protagonist to explain if he understands who the establishment is?   Here is something for the more astute to ponder.............'

The battle between Trump and the political elite is merely another example of a fundamental dynamic of our political order, one that goes to the heart of a permanent contradiction of democracy. Is politics a question of knowledge possessed only by an elite? Or do the common people have enough virtue and common sense to transcend their passions and interests and make the right choices for the country, both for the present and the future? The Founders created a political order that brilliantly resolved that contradiction, but the undermining of the Constitution has moved us closer to the dangerous dysfunctions of Athenian democracy that the Founders tried to avoid.'  fr. Yes.

Could you elaborate on that a lil bit.  Just enough to convince me you are not coinfused about it?

I am trying to be patient here but there is so little time and so many boards for me to patrol....as in troll.  hehheh.

Sure.  Congress and lawmakers who are destroying our country and need malleable puppets like Donald to sign legislation.

Just as I thought....you are coinfused.  You did say they are 'destroying' our country and that is correct and they have been for decades.

However.....I was looking for a more precise definition of this group.....which I will give....there exists an elite wealthy class composing Congressmen, Businessmen, consultants, donors, lobbyists, and national commentators otherwise known as
the 'Establishment'...be they democratic or republican....and they find much common ground.  As someone said 'the rich are different' and that difference tends to make them less patriotic...aka...more interested in their personal agendas than in the overall interests of America as a whole.

Thus.... for all their internal disagreements, they do share certain policy prescriptions, and they  find unity in opposing Donald Trump for various reasons, and fundamentally oppose the interests and views of the Republican masses–– the common man aka the Working Class Whites.

To call Trump a puppet of the Establishment is highly ludicrous...he is their enemy...they fear him and had rather see hillary win because they want to protect their power, their privilege and above all their wealth.

They see Trump not as a Republican, not as a Conservative but as a populist in the mould of Huey P. Long...and they are correct to an extent...in reality he is a combination of Huey P. Long and Teddy Roosevelt....thus they believe(correctly) he is a threat....because The Donald supports The Working Class....they fear he will tax them, that he will improve the lives of the White Working Class at their expense...they view him as radical and dangerous...because they see him basically changing the Republican Party...bringing in lots of new people...and appealing to and catering to the Reagan Democrats who fled to the Republican Party when The democrats adopted the minorities.

Unfortunately for the Reagan Democrats --the establishment republican administrations which they helped elect...never gave them much more than lip service.  They are the largest voting bloc in the nation but without representation in Washington ever since they were abandoned by the democrats.

The White Working Class finally sees someone willing to give them some representation in Washington...something they have not had in decades.

What happens if Hillary wins? I suppose that means Trump probably won't be president.

An otherwise interesting thread, with lots of possible speculation ... derailed.

It might be easier to fight off the Liberals if the President is a Democrat instead of a Republican.
A Trump presidency creates it's own problems within the party, now and in the future.

But, I still believe Trump could have easily walked away with this thing, if he wanted to - he's just trying to preserve his "Trump" brand name.  Had he known this stuff would hurt his brand, he might have just quit during the RNC debates.  Now he's got major damage control to worry about - his past might have ruined his kids future political and business plans.

Pushing Trump I am not. I asked why because I cannot see the logic in just letting Hillary win. That is my view not me telling anyone what their view should be. So get off the I am pushing Trump.

The honest truth is that I'm so afraid of Hillary that I am tempted to vote for Trump.  Those on the board that know me from other places know what a tremendous turn that is from my usual position.  I didn't like Romney or McCain or Bush because I thought they were big statist liberals, and I didn't see any significant difference between them and the people they were running against; but they weren't running against Hillary.
