"LIBERALS: their willful ignorance is rivaled only by their catastrophic stupidity"!

I found this at the Brietbart site Big Hollywood, where I derived this thread title...

QuoteLet me clue you in, Tinseltown – "Act" is an unapologetically pro-military movie that doesn't have to pretend that the greatest threat to America is space aliens. It's got action – holy cow, does it have action. It's got emotion – real emotion, not that hacky "emotional conflict" cookie cutter crap that your screenwriting seminars push. And it's got this thing called "moral clarity."

Since that's an unfamiliar concept, I'll give you a chance to Google it.

Yeah, Hollywood, moral clarity.  The bad guys are bad guys. As in the real world outside of the I-10/I-5/101 Freeway/Pacific Ocean box where you live your miserable, morally bankrupt lives, there's no ambiguity. American warriors are the unambiguous heroes, and the people they hunt down are unambiguously evil.

There's no bogus back story to the villains about how Americans were mean to them, or how their daddies didn't hug them enough, or how global warming destroyed their petting zoo.

Remember Carter sitting idle during the 444-day hostage crisis? That lunatic from NambyPambyVille set the tone for American liberal gutlessness, when right didn't matter because NUANCE did.

Get the treasonous scum out of our White House and out of America altogether. And send in the Seals if they dare try to argue as they are herded on the first plane out of here.

Support this movie. Vote with your wallets. Remind Hollyweird, there is a real America which no longer believes their lies and propaganda.

Okay. If it's as good as "Tears Of the Sun" or "Battle: Los Angeles" it will be worth streaming. I don't go to movie theaters, anymore.

MD, I don't get to theaters much either. Saw Tears of the Sun on cable. Not bad at all. Haven't seen Battle: Los Angeles, but I will now on your recommendation. But I'm here now to make my own recommendation.

I don't know if you're old enough to appreciate this but I'm recommending all retirees watch Red with Bruce Willis, John Malkovich, Morgan Freeman, Brian Cox (Agamemnon in Brad Pitt's Troy and Helen Mirren. They're all retired "spooks" (the first three from the CIA) in a rousing caper.

The "Red" in the title stands for Retired: Extremely Dangerous. And there's a great line when someone says, "You've just had your ass kicked by a ... retiree!"

I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I did.

I recommend both movies as well!

See guys, you have something in common with a liberal after all.

We are making progress!

Quiller forgets that Cater ordered the MILITARY to plan an operation and go save the hostages.

Such bad memories you conservatives have.

Not to worry, I am here to remind you guys, keep you grounded.

Too bad the military and Murphy's law, fucked it up.  We could have used Carter for another term.

Then Reagan couldn't have tripled the national debt.

Not sure how a successful action movie, that puts lots of money into "hollywood" types pockets, is going to "show" Hollyweird you don't believe their lies.

can you elaborate your conspiracy better?

Wow, I am so seeing this.  I'm not sure I can get a girl to go with me, so I may have to find a man-date.

If Carter had been an actual President, actually effective against the moo-slime horde, that raid would have been far better-planned than the rush-job they actually botched.

To the ignorant leftists in this crowd, may I also add: if you want more films produced of any type or category, you support the first one. Hollyweird's penchant for sequels and prequels is one trait we can all count on (unless it's patriotic and heroes are actually heroes).

"RED" is what I call a "stop and watch" movie. Not only do I have it on disk, if I'm channel hopping and come across it I always "stop and watch". What bothers me though is, if "Frank Moses" and his crew are as good as they say he is, there IS no evidence of what went on down in Guatemala. And the VP has to be Republican, or there would be no need to kill the NY Times reporter - she'd hide it for them.

Red is great fun, and also proof that movies for older viewers DO earn good money. (Cocoon I and II, On Golden Pond, etc.). The problem with Hollywood is, every 12-year-old wants to be a director, and it's a 16-year-old green-lighting their projects.

Take the repulsive Kick Ass with Nicholas Cage and a teenaged girl who now belongs in Witless Protection, as costumed vigilante types. The girl had a very foul mouth and her father a complete psychotic.

Then see The Expendables, with the ancient Sly Stallone and Eric Roberts turning out one tidy, full-throttle action caper. Neither are exactly spring chickens --- or Ahhhhhnuld or Bruce Willis (both in that same film). But when I saw it in the theater, more than half that good-sized audience was silver-haired.

We're old. But we still like watching enemies get what's coming.

If we could only get these Hollyweird morons to stop spending $50 million on special effects and invest more in better actors and scripts. But given the complete worthlessness of the current younger generation of U.S. actors, that's just another way of explaining why we get top-notch UK actors like Mirren, Cox, or New Zealand's Karl Urban (the government nemesis in Reds).

If I were commanding this Marine unit and saw something like that, one or both of these perverts would be reassigned on that spot. Mail them their gear later.

Problem was, he and the Dem Congress had cut the military so much after Vietnam (especially training and maintenance), they were incapable of carrying out the plan.
