That's an angle I'm watching as well...  was Rice trying to set up Comey?

That's a very interesting take. I can see Susan Rice and others in the higher ups in the Obama admin setting up Comey. Remember they did have a bone to pick with him since Comey was the one that came out, what was it a week before the 2016 presidential election about the Hillary emails found on Anthony Weiner's laptop.

...and, Comey met with Trump eight (I think that's right... 7-9 or something like that) in private.  That doesn't happen, and there's protocol for the FBI Director to meet with the President....  What were they talking about?

Also, the memos he took PROTECT Trump because they both knew he was being surveilled....

This Comey thing is an incredibly fascinating piece to the story to me...  hated by both sides, etc...

I believe you nailed it. Two birds with one stone. First one was to cover Obama's ass and the second to throw Comey under the bus.
