Good point, hire effeminate males to make the star appear more masculine.
This would explain the entire cast.

I never thought Star Trek was interesting and couldn't understand the cult following.  Totally silly stuff!

It is only in liberal fantasyland that one Star Fleet officer can be disciplined after serious incidents as a cadet by giving him not just one ship but four of them, wrecking each along his career path. Watch the destruction scenes and you'll wonder, how come nobody was killed in such an event (events!) and why didn't they keelhaul the clown that caused it?

The Trouble With Libbles... ?  I saw that.

I never understood it either.  Si-fi has never been my thing.
The danger to America is not Barack Obama but the citizens capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency.

So you like chick flicks too?

j/k ..... I'm not a huge fan of those either.  Much prefer mysteries, historical stuff and period dramas.  I also like comedies, but haven't seen a good one in a long time.  The best series currently on TV is "Tyrant".  They are in their second season.

I've got one you'll both enjoy, it was a short lived series called Firefly. Watch one episode, and you'll be hooked, women love this one for reasons beyond my comprehension.

Star Malcolm Reynolds, star of the current hit TV series, Castle, was lead in this futuristic drama.

Solar got me hooked on that show.  He might have told me it was one season, but didn't remember, so I was pissed after the finale and I was looking for season 2.  They did sort of tie it up with a movie.

Speaking of Mal (the main character in Firefly), I love his character.

That says a lot. If I remember correctly, you don't even like Sci Fi.

That's true, but I mean shows like Star Trek.  I like Star Wars (and can't wait for the new one), but it seems real to me.  Firefly was realistic to me -- even throwing in the Mandarin quips, etc.  I really believe in a concept where it's the future, we have all this technology, but some civilizations are still riding horses and building cabins, while others are living on a spaceship that hovers in the sky.  Movies like District 9 and Elysium are interesting to me as well.

I'm a big fan of shows about archeology.  If there is an afterlife, that's what I want to do next.  I recently watched a series on "ancient aliens".  It's quite fascinating, all the different speculations of some people.  What was even more fascinating, is all the similarities between ancient builders, especially where engineers and architects today are perplexed at how some things had been constructed without the use of modern technology.

Really makes you wonder.

One extinct group, the predecessors of the Incas in Puma Punku and Tiahuanaco, in Bolivia.  One engineer said that whatever tools were used to construct the massive stone blocks do not exist in archeological history.

Don't get me wrong.  I'm a big skeptic when it comes to outer space aliens, and didn't watch the program for that purpose.
