Weed was called "Therapeutic" with a doctors note as well. Look how great that worked out. :glare:
Oregon approves magic mushrooms for therapeutic use, becomes first state to decriminalize drugs like heroin and cocaine
Oregon will become the first state to decriminalize the possession of small amounts of hard drugs, including heroin, cocaine, oxycodone and other substances.
Residents on Tuesday voted to pass Measure 110, which also expands addiction services using the state's marijuana tax revenue.
"Today's victory is a landmark declaration that the time has come to stop criminalizing people for drug use," said Kassandra Frederique, executive director of the Drug Policy Alliance, which baked the measure.
The Oregon Drug initiative will allow those arrested with small amounts of certain hard drugs to avoid going to trial – as well as possible jail time –by paying a $100 fine and attending an addiction recovery program. The treatment centers will also be funded by revenues from legal marijuana, which was legalized statewide.
Voters also approved Measure 109, which legalizes the therapeutic use of psilocybin, or psychedelic mushrooms.

Democrats will insist on SOMA for all....
Friends of ours just moved to the Oregon coast last year for retirement, spent thousands fixing up their dream home, now they're going to move after only one year.
I know they aren't alone...
I don't see how this solves anything. In my eyes it only incentivizes addicts to use. No consequences, no change.

Yep, and more innocent people will die by consequence, be it someone freakin out, or thinking they have immunity to the law and go out in public and do stupid shit.
If shrooms are anything like the quality change we saw in weed over the last 40 years, Oregon is about to get an eyeopener in boneheaded moves.
Whoever thought legalizing hallucinogenics was ever a bright idea? LIBertarians must be in Utopia...

Yep!!!!
I remember when the Libertarian ran the bay Area, it was clean, everyone got along, everyone turned a blind eye to what others were doing, as long as it didn't effect them.
Well it did, so the libertarians bailed on SF, moved to Oregon. See a pattern with Libertarianism? It simply doesn't work!
Drugs, sex and rock and roll. A stoned society is a compliant society. This progressive mind set is will result in addictions and a total lack of ambition in a young population that should be working on making a better life for themselves. Since the state is pushing this stuff it then falls to the taxpayers in Oregon to foot the coming bill for all this addiction and long term care for those that will fry their brains to the point that they can't work or hold a job.
Watch for disability claims to correspond to the new addiction rates. This is the death of a state. How do honest hard working families manage a normal life? But I guess the woke crowd in Oregon think if it feels good, do it in the road. No place to try and raise kids.
Just think of the magnet this is for all the wrong people to head for Portlandia.

Yet it's illegal to ride a motorcycle without a helmet. Liberal logic....
So for all the people who now are legal with their "small" amounts of meth. crack, etc, will the local government give them their drugs free, or will they still have to burglarize homes to get the money to legally buy them?
