Obama's 3rd Term

Rush brought this up the other day. And, in a nut shell, the premise was, what if Obama just ignores the 22nd Amendment and tries to run for a 3rd term.

Well, the immediate answer was that that would be the straw that broke the camel's back. Boehner would have to Impeach him.

Made sense to me.

But, then I thought, okay, the House Impeaches the President - it goes to the Senate to remove him from office and fails!

What if McConnell can't deliver enough votes to remove him from office? What if, as people here have said any time impeachment is mentioned, the Democrats stand firm, putting party above country, and don't deliver the votes needed to kick the bum out?

What happens then?

Obamao is certainly entertaining such a move, importing a few million illegals who would vote for him and maybe take up arms against America to enforce his will in exchange for whatever they can steal, rob rape and confiscate from the American people.

They weren't "sick of him" enough to override his Veto of the Keystone XL Pipeline. And I can envision a scenario where, although the Dems are sick of Obama (I don't really think they are) they would rather him remain president than see someone like Scott Walker or Ted Cruz in the White House!

Playing politics, is a far cry from wanting his worthless ass around for another term, then there is that little issue of no support from what used to be their base.

To even entertain such a scenario borders on conspiracy, or mental illness. Pick one.

I don't think it matters how many people, illegal or not, who are willing to vote for the Kenyan 3.0. I'm pretty sure, under federal and states' laws, that he would not be able to appear on any ballot anywhere as a candidate.

There was a lot of argument over whether he was eligible in 2008, due to the shrouded circumstances of his birth. (They remain shrouded to this day.) But there could hardly be any doubt about his ineligibility in 2016.

Yeah, the guy opened our borders to illegals, and Darth somehow thinks this endears him to libs?

Again, this image some have of this guy comes from the lack of media assault on his failures and purposeful moves against American culture and capitalism, they think because they don't see the outrage on the news, then the people must be OK with it.

Fact is, the nation as a whole is sick to death of the Marxist, with nearly half want to impeach, a fourth want to personally kill the bastard, and the other fourth wish he'd just go away.
Very few if any actually like his Marxist policy, a very small group of communists who's their opinion doesn't count anyway.

Would he dare try to get the democrat nomination and put the entire party in jeopardy if they go along? Would he run as a third party candidate? I think it more likely he would try to impose martial law and suspend the election.

The same thing was said about the SCOTUS and Obamacare!

Of course, there is also the point that someone has to have "standing" before the court. No one would really have standing until he was elected for a third term. And trust me, once he was elected, it would be too late!

As for him not being on the ballots, why wouldn't he?

No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once. But this article shall not apply to any person holding the office of President when this article was proposed by the Congress, and shall not prevent any person who may be holding the office of President, or acting as President, during the term within which this article becomes operative from holding the office of President or acting as President during the remainder of such term.

Note, it says that no person shall be elected - it says nothing at all about whether or not that person can run for office - just that he can't be elected more than twice.

Yeah, I know, it is splitting hairs, but there are plenty of lawyers out there making a very comfortable living splitting hairs like that.

Mickey Mouse can't serve as president, but he still gets thousands of votes every 4 years! And you just know that any state that would refuse to put Obama on the ballot would be instantly accused of being RACIST!

And, of course there is the possibility that he might take a V.P. slot - that is kind of a gray area. Even if the top of the ticket steps down the day after he or she is inaugurated, and Obama is sworn in the following day, he fulfills the letter of the law in that he was not elected to the office of president more than twice. 

Stranger things have happened!

Remember Gerald Ford - our first president who was never elected to that office? Hell, he wasn't even elected to the office of Vice President!
