Title: NYC Slimes: America Isn't That Great
Post by: Solar on July 02, 2019, 11:29:29 AM
You have to watch this BS! Everything they claim America fails at, can be solidly blamed on the left.

The myth of America as the greatest nation on earth is at best outdated and at worst, wildly inaccurate. If you look at data, the U.S. is really just O.K.

The bigger question should be, why do libs stay? If they really have this warped of a view of this great nation, why stay, why not go to Europe and see what they can do to fix the mess people of their ilk made in growing the power of govt, letting in millions of Muscum, expanding the welfare State.
I'll never understand why libs are always in a hurry to change something that works, into something where no one is happy. Libs aren't Progressive, they're regressive and downright fuckin stupid.

Free stull and someone other then them will pay for it.  The working taxpayers.  I have yet to figure out why I must help pay for a bridge in Seattle when I don't live there or even use the bridge.

YES! I agree. We suck. Now spread this around the world so our border agents can take a break. America is worse than North Korea. Now leave us alone. We're busy innovating everything the world needs.

Just another hit piece by the leftist media. Amazing how these ungrateful libs get to reap the rewards of a free society at the same time they are able to attack and try to dismantle it. I always say to my friend whenever I hear one of these, that the same libs who persecute America for being a horrible country, should go spend a week over in Venezuela. They would be BEGGING to come back.

It's funny in that they used to get away with this shit. Their blaming us for everything they do to make life miserable for everyone is over.
They make shit up all the time, but no longer, they're on the run because all of their failed policies are on display. They created a party of victims and now these victims are turning on one another and the party. And it's all thanks to Trump.

Did you spend a week there?  Do you know someone or are friends with someone who spent a week there If not...

Supposedly the media is owned by the left, right?  How do you know what they say about Venezuela is true or not?

America:  Be yourself!

America:  Not like that!  You are to be the self we expect you to be.

Bible:  Luke 12:15 Then he said to them, "Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; life does not consist in an abundance of possessions."

America:  Greed is good!  Capitalism is and Money is God!

Statue of Liberty:  Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!

Immigration Policy:  Make the policy so intricate that only the best and brightest get in.

Bible:  Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will reward them for what they have done. — Proverbs 19:17 and My whole being will exclaim, "Who is like you, Lord? You rescue the poor from those too strong for them, the poor and needy from those who rob them." — Psalm 35:10  "Because the poor are plundered and the needy groan, I will now arise," says the Lord. "I will protect them from those who malign them." — Psalm 12:5 Give generously to [the poor] and do so without a grudging heart, then because of this the Lord your God will bless you in all your work and in everything you put your hand to. There will always be poor people in the land. Therefore I command you to be openhanded toward your fellow Israelites who are poor and needy in your land. — Deuteronomy 15:10-11

America:  If you are poor it is your fault you are poor no matter the circumstances. Being poor is based upon the decisions you have made in your life.

How is the USA a Christian nation exactly when Jesus Christ himself says the complete opposite of what America is all about?

The pieces of that castigation that bother me are education, healthcare, and poverty levels. Jeez, that is a lot I guess.  Some would argue our poverty isn't really poverty or heathcare is open to all and education is up to us or your family, but that said, some of the stats are disheartening.

But but, having risen up the food chain i must admit, the rich in America live a life much different than our working class. They all drive exotic foreign autos, they vacation in exotic places, and go to schools and colleges that cost more than most American make in a year. Class is something Americans ignore or pretend doesn't exist. It reminds one of higher taxes on those who benefit most from the country, no way the working class say, cause one day they may win the lottery too having not been born into it. Don't ask me for an answer though, I move today among both classes and neither have any sense of duty or country. Correction: maybe a few do....

Do you even see your own disconnect? You want to tax the rich, but fail to recognize the fact you are actually advocating for high taxes, while the govt continues to spend more than they bring in.
The problem isn't that people aren't paying enough in taxes, rather, the govt has a spending problem.
This country is, by design a capitalist nation where anyone can succeed, I lived all classes, I busted my ass to get to my position, I sacrificed a beans and rice diet so I could achieve my dreams.

The only real impediment to success is, govt, from min wage to red tape. The govt wants their cut. You are under the illusion that a degree is a guaranteed path to success, that is a lie created by the left when they took over the university system. Look at the costs involved and how the govt has a symbiotic leech relationship in student debt.
You really need to lose the blinders, govt is not our friend, it is in fact, the enemy. Our Founders knew this which is why they designed a Republic, but thanks to leftists in both party's, that dream has been bastardized, all for the love of money.
Gut govt, tie its hands and watch the poor succeed.

When you mean "anyone can succeed" do you mean anyone can define what success means for themselves and can do what it takes to achieve this success they define for themselves while making mistakes along the way?  And, the only one who gets in the way is a.  yourself and b. gov't?

Holy shit, those who are in education are mostly leftists.

They're the ones who made it seem like only one path existed.

Yep, you define what success is to you. Too many set unachievable goals, the best goals are the small ones along the way so many overlook.

I was about to refute what you said about success before until I realized I've been indoctrinated and the very definitions and assumptions I've been using are all part of that indoctrination.  I think I'm breaking free of it.  The left are like the reapers of mass effect.

Another definition: no group, color, or background of people is barred from trying to be successful. There are no guarantees, but everyone can try.

I think I understand.   Just to make sure. "barred from trying to be successful" means that no law can be passed (federal, state, local, district, etc etc) that prevents one from defining what success means to a person and coming up and taking the steps to be successful in one's endeavor?  It does not mean that others should be forced to give one success?

Jesus said quite clearly that we are to help the poor, widows and orphans, and our neighbor. He did not say we were to give most of our earnings to Rome to distribute. His message has always been and still endures as one of personal responsibility. He also clearly instructed us to obey the law. If you think the plight of the world's poor and dispossessed can be solved by bypassing God, breaking the laws of nations, and ignoring personal responsibility to help when and where we can and are so moved, you are probably a Democrat and my friend, you are in error.

Ah I see!   So, what you're saying is that these messages, edicts, etc was for us as individuals to do in our own personal lives and volition for others with our own money and not do it through distribution through "Rome" as you call it?

And, this makes me wonder though.  Are there separate commandments and edicts for governments and separate commandments and edicts for individuals?  And, the edicts and commandments that tell us to help the poor are meant for individuals and not governments?

Am I correct on everything here or at least on the right track?  Or, am I way off base?

Rebecca, if it comes across as that I'm extremely abrasive and argumentative I do apologize for that.  My social skills aren't the best even though I'm trying.  I've never been to charm school.  So, please forgive me?
