NY man arrested after hitting officer with Molotov cocktail, liquid chemical

Officers from the New York Police Department (NYPD) have arrested a man who "doused a cop with a chemical" and threw a "Molotov cocktail"at an officer while fleeing the scene on Saturday. The 44-year-old man was originally stopped for running a red light.

The officer who was hit in the face with the liquid chemical was taken to a hospital after the incident. He is expected to recover.

The man was stopped by other officers later that day. He threw a lit Molotov cocktail at their patrol car as well. The man was then arrested and more Molotov cocktails were recovered by the police.
