But The People are a rebellious bunch!

Newspaper faces firestorm after attempted crack-down on anti-gay marriage op-eds

Quote"As a result of Friday's ruling, PennLive/The Patriot-News will very strictly limit op-Eds and letters to the editor in opposition to same-sex marriage.

"These unions are now the law of the land. And we will not publish such letters and op-Eds any more than we would publish those that are racist, sexist or anti-Semitic.

"We will, however, for a limited time, accept letters and op-Eds on the high court's decision and its legal merits."

We're used to media censorship.  That's why right wing media is popular.  At least there you can hear both sides of an issue.

People haven't stopped talking about abortion, they certainly aren't going to stop talking about this.

And we won't stop talking about other demoralizing issues either.

The danger to America is not Barack Obama but the citizens capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency.

My sentiments exactly.  Newspapers aren't the only venue for venting.   Our town is practically giving their papers away now because no one likes the idea of censure.  If I have to stand on the street and declare my dissent on homosexuality, I'll do it.  The "sheriff" said he'd bail my azz out.

I had a good friend who was a MOSTLY celibate gay Christian (he died of AIDS). The Church was more accepting of this repentant & struggling homosexual than the homosexuals were of him talking about his faith. So, yeah, I can see that.
