Funny thing about Anderson Cooper -
His mother is Gloria Vanderbilt.

One day, he was a guest host on the TV show
Live With Kelly and Ryan.
He told about how he would mention to his mother
some prominent person in the news,
and she would reply, "Ah, yes ... "
and then talk about how that person was in bed.

Which tells me that he got to where he is
by being well-connected.
