QuoteLevi Strauss & Co. CEO Chip Bergh said his organization is "very concerned" about state governments allegedly attempting to restrict voter access while continuing to operate his business in China, a country that is well known for impeding its own election process.

"In 2020, we donated over $3 million from the Levi Strauss Foundation to different states," he said. "More than 10% of that went to Georgia specifically to work with nonprofit organizations that were committed to ensuring fair and equal access to the polls and ensuring that voters could get out and vote. And we're going to continue to do the same thing as we move forward."

I am looking for new jeans. It will not be from Levis. Any recommendations?

More than 100 corporate executives hold call to discuss halting donations and investments to fight controversial voting bills

QuoteMore than 100 chief executives and corporate leaders gathered online Saturday to discuss taking new action to combat the controversial state voting bills being considered across the country, including the one recently signed into law in Georgia.

This month, former president Donald Trump called for conservatives to boycott Coca-Cola, Major League Baseball, Delta Air Lines, Citigroup, ViacomCBS, UPS and other companies

Leaders from dozens of companies such as Delta, American, United, Starbucks, Target, LinkedIn, Levi Strauss and Boston Consulting Group, along with Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank, were included on the Zoom call, according to people who listened in.

The discussion — scheduled to last one hour but going 10 minutes longer — was led at times by Kenneth Chenault, the former chief executive of American Express, and Kenneth Frazier, the chief executive of Merck, who told the executives that it was important to keep fighting

This is so refreshing.

"I like your product, but you need to provide proof of your politics" is today's socialism.

So don't buy it.

I am not a cancel culturist and struggle with that term at times.  I do not want to damage good companies by applying my politics to their agenda, but also do not appreciate them applying their agenda to my products.

Adding Levis to my list of do not buy.  Coca and Delta already on the list.

Do we need a 300 call to let these folks know?

I tried searching for it, it does not exist, so I suspect about 90% are of companies, most have never even heard of, and all CCP related.
