I write this because of Nurse Kaci Hickox proclaiming it was safe for her to run around because she had a negative Ebola test.

So did Dr. Martin Solia, who died today from Ebola in Nebraska.  All his contacts that he was around after the negative test are now under quarantine.

One difference is that Dr. Solia was not feeling well when he was tested the first time.  He continued to get worse, prompting the second Ebola test, which was positive.

A reminder that a test may be NEGATIVE in the earlier stages of the disease.  As is the HIV test and others.

So, an abundance of caution is still worthwhile, Nurse Hickox and Dr. Craig Spencer, and CDC, NIH, President, etc.
