Columbus, OH Police Doing Their Job

I am watching the presser concerning the police shooting a 16 year old girl in Columbus, OH. As reference, police responded to a 911 call about a disturbance.

On arriving on the scene the 16 year old girl was observed attacking another person with a knife. Listening to the media, they are grilling the police chief and mayor about the officer's actions and why he used lethal force. They are totally ignoring the officer was trying to stop a possible deadly attack. There is no concern that the officer possibly saved a life.

This is maddening. This is what we should expect from our law enforcement. I hope the American people are getting weary of this s--t!

And this case illustrates what some idiots seem not to get about policing: When an officer arrives at the scene, they don't know everything that has transpired to that point. What they know is what's happening in front of them, and in this case, that was that one person was on the verge of killing someone else.

Quite frankly a white  person is an idiot for  being a  cop these days. And  if i were a white  cop and got a call to go where  i had to interact with blacks  in any way i would tell whoever called  i wont respond  until a  black supervisor meets me before we get there and takes responsibility for the  interaction. Yes, that would have been great.  It might take a little while to get a social worker there and in the meantime the officer could have began to do some rap shit, and maybe a little break dancing to ease the tensions.  A calm soothing voice to "chill" might also have been the ticket.

Well maybe not.  I would have shot the bastard that kicked that girl while she was on the ground.  The officer is there and these animals did not miss a beat.  The animal with the knife wasn't going to stop, the animal that was kicking/beating the other girl didn't stop.

I did learn something though, it seems like knife fights in the ghetto is just another day in the park.  The other animals screaming racism on the officer all said what's the big deal about a little knife fight, the kids do it all the time.

So coming full circle, the officer should have let the fight continue.  From now on law enforcement can carry numbered cards in order to score the attack, sort of like the Olympics when the judges hold up score cards.  Fatal knife attacks would receive a 9 or 10, a bloody mess a 7 or 8, and of course a nick would be scored at 1 or 2.  So there ya have it.
