Yea, we will see. I would look to the solar minimums too. In 2018, right after the sun spot count crashed, NOAA's hurricane count was changed, lessened. There were no cat 5's in the Atlantic basin.

They prate about the environment and destroy it and the living conditions of those in their charge at the same time. I take it, you LIVE in a heavily wooded area.  What do you do if / when the forest fires are headed your direction?
Smoke is one thing, filters?  And what if the woods is on fire, do you stay or bail?

I'll stay, I bought the dozer for this reason, to cut a line on the fire and I'll bail to the creek if I have to.
I don't think I could stand watching the forest I've nurtured for nearly half my life, go up in flames, and not seek retribution from the SOB who started it, and yes, 99.9% of fire in Ca are man made.

Pretty much, when you look at the acreage map of destruction. A tiny portion is accidental, more is purposeful negligence by PG&E.
The DNC is responsible for that majority of fire since they used the PUC to control what PG&E does.

How could you leave out the California division of forestry and the Sierra Club? I'm betting they're feeling very slighted about now. Gotta protect that habitat ya know. And while we're at it don't forget the Costal Comission for that matter. I have a friend down in Carmel that isn't allowed to take down dead wood on his property because it's habitat don't ya know.

That's what my County uses now to track construction. Sheriff used it to spot grows, then sends out the chopper for confirmation, followed by officers and crew for eradication.

It's all about money when it comes to building, they want their cut for permit fees.
Build a 900 Sq' home, add to it a few years later and they'll be knocking at your door.

Another reason why, if we ever move (unlikely), we'd build, but dig out a huge basement, and put a tiny shack above ground.  Keep the whole site covered with tarps and nets during construction.

Privacy shouldn't come at such a great cost.

A conex box would become an oven in a forest fire and you'd be roasted to death, medium rare.
I went through a mortar/rocket attack hunkered down in one of those things once. It was like being in a 55 gallon drum being beat on with baseball bats. My ears rang for days afterward.

How about you go ahead and cough up the permit fees to build a nice, big pole barn,
and then, at your leisure, build anything you want under it?
