Biden opens up 13-point lead over Trump

Joe Biden has opened up a 13-point lead over President Trump in the wake of the first presidential debate, according to a new CNBC/Change Research survey released on Thursday.

The poll shows Biden garnering 54 percent of the vote to Trump's 41 percent, with 53 percent of likely voters surveyed saying that the Democratic nominee performed better than Trump in the debate on Tuesday night, while only 29 percent said the president had the better performance.

That debate quickly devolved into a raucous and chaotic event defined by frequent interruptions and hectoring by Trump, who has since sought to declare victory in the showdown.

But the CNBC/Change Research poll found that 45 percent of likely voters believe that Trump underperformed expectations at the debate, while only 11 percent said that Biden performed worse than expected.

The electoral dynamic is worse for Trump now than in 2016. he was up by 2 points in Ohio four years ago today. Now he's down by 3.3 points. In Georgia he's gone from 5 points up to 1.2 points down, and in Iowa his 5-point lead has become a tie.

"If Trump loses Ohio, I don't see how he's winning Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania," said Kyle Kondik of the University of Virginia Center for Politics. "Ohio is pretty consistently to the right of those states in recent times."

Democratic voters in Michigan swing county of Macomb aren't sold on Biden

"I am a Donald Trump supporter but I can't tell any of my friends," said Kathy Connolly, 72, a semi-retired real estate agent who voted for Clinton four years ago.

Connolly said she didn't approve of Trump's handling of the pandemic or his "name calling" but for her the biggest issue was the economy after she was widowed.

"[Trump] made my life easier with the stock market. I have a lot of money in the stock market and I actually have more money now than when my husband died eight years ago," the Macomb County woman said.

"As far as his morals, I don't like them. As far as his policies, I like them," she added.

When asked what she thought of the 77-year-old Biden, Connolly believed he was "too old to be president" and questioned his mind. "That's what scares me about him," she said. Trump is 74.

Lifelong Democratic voter Barbara, 57, who only gave her first name, also voted for Clinton four years ago and was shocked when Trump flipped Macomb County from blue to red with 48,348 votes.

"I was surprised but I think he's going to win again. A lot of people believe in him and stand behind him," the thrift store employee said of the commander in chief.

How big is the #WalkAway movement?
Are Black Men moving more and more into the Trump Camp?
DO you really think Central Independents support the Socialism of the Left?
Was Trump down more to Hillary, than to Hidin' Biden.  Who won?
Now, Trump says his internal polling suggests that he's in fine shape for a win.

Couple that with:
62% of people polled admit they lied to the pollsters.
Around 70% say they never talk about their political leanings outside their own home.
SO, even if Biden the Bidet is up by 10, is he really up, at all?  Probably not.

The Dems likely know what the President's internal polling suggests.  They know what he seems to know, which is Biden is in Trouble, Big Time.  That is why the desperate measures now being taken.  Pelosi is risking sending 11,000,000 votes Trump's way, by NOT passing a workable stimulus, all the while pursuing a coup, against a sitting president.  And Trump will be the hero is he gets stimulus payments to the unemployed.   The 25th Amendment thing just goes to prove, they are scared shitless.
And, finally, fewer Democommies, and voters in general, say they will vote by mail, than did 2 weeks ago.  They fear not being counted, in time.  So, that also works in Trumps favor.  I am sure he's watching carefully for any semblance of impropriety.
What is more important to me is that we gain control of the House and keep the Senate.
