The best way to stop a MOB/Riot is to wait them out, they get tired, hungry thirsty and start to lose heart, thats the time to make your move.....NOT with a firehose .....but a disciplined line of cops in riot gear, tear gas guns at the ready. the other thing is to wait for what we used to call "the Big Policeman in the sky"....RAIN, or cold weather...... :popcorn:

I believe you, dude. The pic is cool, and I'm sure it is Birmingham. But the link you posted exploded the screen. That's why I called for a mod.

I detest shortened URLs because the reader never knows where they lead. And I admit I don't think of image width much for links NOT surrounded by IMG tags: it never occurred to me that the text itself would expand the page.

When people look for images if they would just pay attention to the details of the image! That little number that says 640x127 or whatever! That is the size of the image in pixles.

I try never to post anything where the larger of the two numbers is over 500!

Yes, 500-600 pixels is a good range for maximum image width on this board. But that's not what I was talking about.

Quiller, the link you posted -- the LINK, the textual LINK -- you posted in Reply #16 exploded the post so that it is wider than a standard screen.

I have a hard enough time scrolling up and down. Side to side is, as Val Kilmer might have said in "Tombstone," more than I could bear.  :tounge:

Even when they are burning down tax payers property and stealing their goods? Look,a fire hose is needed to put out the fire,right? So put out the fires and if you hit a few looters in the process,oh well. Maybe they shouldn't have gotten in the way of a fireman doing his job.

I just have a hard time believing we are supposed to just let them do as they do,and "wait them out". This was not a peaceful protest.
Democrats love me this I know. For the TV tells me so.
