Last night, Jan 28th, it took me 1.5 hours to get out of downtown Birmingham to Fultondale (where I still am), 6 miles away. I was lucky and left at 11:00 am, but those who waited just another hour or two to get out of Birmingham never made it out. Mostly due to people who had abandoned their cars right in the middle of the roads causing traffic jams.
