Awesome!!!!
We had one as well, doubled as the school house, but it got caught in a fire.
Sadly, this era may never happen again. But I hope I'm wrong.

To some, God still matters. To others, not so much. The Bible tells us that He will rapture the church ("raptura" in greek) first and then He'll come back. The Bible also tells us that between the rapture and God's return, there will be a GREAT 7 year tribulation as was NEVER seen on the Earth. It will be a horrible time and many will suffer and die for their newly acquired faith in Christ. The faithful will be with God in Heaven and will not suffer as those who are on the Earth.

Christians since Christ rose have been thinking their times are the end times.

I still think its a LONG way into the future. I dont think we are anywhere close to the kind of suffering that will happen in the end times. Things have always been bad, and frankly they have been worse in the past.

I think revelations also says something about 1000 years of good times before the bad times start. I think that trump and America is the start of that 1000 year golden age.

In my view God is infinite and timeless. We mortals are incapable of fully comprehending God and his power. That is why Faith is so important and I believe that is God's desire from us.

Thats a good point. Prophecy in the bible isnt there for us to learn the future and change it. Its so that in the future we can look back at the prophecy and see that God was in control the whole time.

The Bible clearly states that no man knows the day nor the hour so, it may be a "LONG WAY" off, or it may be in the next five minutes. I don't know, have never known and have never claimed to know.

Christians, before Jesus was crucified, thought the end of times was near.  That was the Jesus message -  the end is near;  You better repent and get in line with God.

Define the word "near". One person's concept of "near" is completely different from another person's. God's concept of "near" is not the same as a human being's. In the same way, "eternity", "eternal life", "salvation", etc., etc., etc. means different things to different people.

I've raised two children and it seems like just yesterday they were little and yet both are grown. It could be said that adulthood was "near" yet it didn't seem so then.

For everyone alive, the end is always near. Jesus was correct when he said to repent, this goes for every generation to follow, and those not yet born, we all die, so get Right with god.

That's the $20,000 question.  What Jesus said seemed to imply that the end was coming very soon.

Take Up Your Cross
(Mark 8:34–38; Luke 9:23–27)

24 Then Jesus told His disciples, "If anyone wants to come after Me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow Me. 25 For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. 26 What will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, yet forfeits his soul? Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul? 27 For the Son of Man will come in His Father's glory with His angels, and then He will repay each one according to what he has done.

28 Truly I tell you, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the Son of Man coming in His kingdom."

Ah so, in your opinion it makes no difference what Jesus actually said, what He actually meant nor what He was actually thinking, it only matters what you THINK it "implies" or means...
