Eternity is forever.  Forever in the place where Jesus lives, or forever in a place nobody would want to live.

Would it make a difference if we got a glimpse of both places, before we decided...?  Not really, because the choice is not between "places" but between believing a Person (and their free gift), or tossing that very expensive gift aside, "I'll do it myself."

Ultimately, we either choose what Jesus has DONE for us on the cross, or, pay the "sin" penalty ourselves... so simple, yet we try to make it so hard.
