A Rose for Epona. Two versions out of many.
I am very old and did not expect to find music new music genres I like. This one song was written and performed  by a Swiss group ELUVEITIE. The female singer is Anna Chapman. It is important to know the history to appreciate the words.

Epona was a goddess protector of horses and cavalry as I recall. The music video shows a shrine to her. The Helvetic Gauls were fleeing the Romans and making rose offerings to Epona to no avail. The singer's husband is dead or dying and she will be taken as a slave.

The group plays a mixture of folk and metal instruments. I do not like metal or tattoos on women  but this is worth it. The male "growler" comes in at 2:40.

Turn on CC as the words are syncopated and hard to understand.

ELUVEITIE - A Rose For Epona (OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO)

A second version just one tiny Russian female Alina Gingertail and no metal. She substitutes for the growler at 2:47. Turn on CC.

That was nice. I do not associate this song with a cute female. More often with the animals.

Cute females? Long ago I found Sergio Mendes and got into Brazilian music.

A couple years ago this led to a Catalan music teacher Joan Chamorrow. Joan is how you spell Juan in Catalan I guess. A male name. He is on bass below.

A cute female came to mind. ANDREA MOTIS He has lots. This is a Jazz standard. I jumped to the singing part at 1:50. her English is not perfect yet. A real cutie.

This is kinda a hit job but mostly fair. They alternate pop and metal singers. I do not like metal but some symphonic metal is good.

Pop Singers VS Metal Singers

In fairness to pop, they left out Beyonce. I do not like what she usually sings but she is good.

A major stressful episode involving my adult son's poor judgment in one matter. It has been fixed at least for now.

I needed a massive dopamine fix. I will likely drink more than I should tonight to wind down.

Alina is my dopamine supplier for the past year or two. Cuter than a box of kittens then in 2013. Now just pretty and creative.

Here she is playing Gravel Walk, an Irish Reel, on her 3 string Russian domra. On the embankment of the Amur River in far east Russia. It has been 11 years since she did this. I am not the only simp as others stop by to comment. 2 in the last day.

She was in a 4 person Russian group that mostly played Irish music. 2 members play while she and the drum player dance to Hector the Hero. In Blagoveshchensk RU. This is why Al Gore invented the internet.

I come back to this video. It is from some Russian talent show long ago. The  little 7 year old girl Yaroslava Degtyarova is singing a serious song, Cuckoo. She had been in a car when her father rolled it. She needed lots of surgeries just to walk again as I recall.

She went on to be a child singing star  and is now in her 20s and doing OK.

She sings in the first 3 minutes
