According to the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), 41 million vinyl records were sold in the U.S. last year, up from just 1.3 million in 2007, the year that Record Store Day was conceived. In the meantime, CD album sales plummeted from 500 million units in 2007 to just 33.4 million last year, marking the first time in 35 years that vinyl had the upper hand against its digital descendant.

There is a resurgence for analog, including cassette tapes.

But, I believe the drop in CD sales is due to downloading or streaming. There are music services that allow you to play most any song at the click of a button.

I would rather buy a CD, because I want physical media. Since most current music sucks, or the artist is too political, I don't worry about having to buy that much.
With all these lawyers with cameras on the street i'm shocked we have so much crime in the world.

There is constitutional law and there is law and order. This challenge to law and order is always the start to loosing our constitutional rights.

Frauditors are a waste of life.

Absolutely!
Like you said, sure it's nice simply downloading music, but there is very little music being made that is still real and not synthesized, let alone worth downloading.
I think what we're seeing a resurgence in demand for older music and records fit the bill since they still have the original masters, and FWIW, I prefer analog over digital myself.
