Nephews group a few years ago at the Texas Music Scene. The Gourds from Austin, TX. Not for everyone.
Shinyribs gets down at the end.
The Gourds perform "Burn The Honeysuckle" on the Texas Music Scene (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=00ygg1r4Cjw#)
Good stuff, Shooter! Thanks for sharing that. Sort of a cross between Lynyrd Skynyrd and John Mellencamp, in my opinion. They're really good! I picked up the song at Amazon, too!
You have a lot of talented folks in your family! :)

Ever since he was in high school in Shreveport, he has had a group. In 'Sport, his band was 'The Picket Line Coyotes'. When he moved to Austin after graduating high school in Denton, he started this group, and they went professional and have never looked back. The drummer is his brother-in-law, and a couple of others followed him to Austin from 'Sport. Hr also performs solo as Shinyribs. He plays several instruments, all self taught. Kev is pretty talented.
I forgot to mention that when he and Robin got married, they had an outdoor wedding on her family's ranch just outside of Fredricksberg, Tx. The backdrop was under an old oak tree, ( several hundred years old ) that the Comnaches use to camp in the lee of, and part of it has been hollowed out and fire hardened by the campfires of those long past Indians.
