"Little Drummer Boy" has never been my fave Christmas song. Too many versions are arranged to sound like a funeral dirge or something, and it just drags along. But here's the juiciest arrangement I've ever heard. If you're a fan of super-tight a capella vocals like I am, you will dig it. Please enjoy!

Thanks for this post. I have a version of this song as "Der Trommelmann" sang by Marlene Dietrich, and I always thought it was a military march.

Ouch! A woman who never could sing, with that off-key, manly, smoky voice, and that German accent so thick you need a knife to cut it. That sounds positively painful! :tounge:

Without your post I would never ever figure out it was a Christmas song. I always thought it was about a little drummer who lead his Hitler-Jugend squad into their final battle.

Sounds more like a death march.
Speaking of nontraditional, here's the observant Mormon hip-hop violinist Lindsey Stirling, in a visually-cute (but musically splendid) offering, "Celtic Carol"....

On a quieter note, her "What Child is This"....
