I might stop capitalizing. It is hard for me to shift with left hand and maybe i have  keyboard issues.
After finding the ultra dance then ultra trance cds I noticed i liked some djs.
I never thought of them as musicians. Tiesto then armin van buuren. I am very old, not hip, not gay, and never went to clubs. If i put on headphones i can focus better.

I still like techno. I got started on guys like Bass Hunter and Aqua later on
Bass hunter was rudimentary, but he, like Aqua, was huge in Europe.
Aua had one hit in the States, Barbie Girl, a very silly song, but they were seen as a threat to our music industry, so they were shut out.

Another DJ fed to me by the algos. A woman. That is rare. Not dutch but belgian BTW this stuff is always background music. I could never watch it for long.

Charlotte de Witte: Key Details
Born: July 21, 1992, Ghent, Belgium.

Style: Known for dark, minimal techno and acid techno, with a raw, emotional, and gritty sound that appeals to both techno purists and new fans.

Career Start: Began DJing in 2010 at age 17 under the alias Raving George to avoid gender bias in the electronic music scene. Switched to her real name in 2015, embracing techno after being inspired by a Len Faki set.

Breakthrough: Won a Studio Brussel DJ contest in 2011, earning a spot at Tomorrowland. Her debut EP, Weltschmerz (2015, Turbo Recordings), marked her shift to techno.

First female DJ to close Tomorrowland's main stage (2022) and Detroit's Movement Festival (2023).

Impact: Known for her "No Sleep" work ethic, she's a trailblazer for women in techno,

Charlotte de Witte's rise from Ghent's underground to global techno stardom reflects her relentless drive and distinctive sound. Her performances, like the six sets in four days in New York City (May 2025), showcase her stamina and fanbase draw (2.4M monthly Spotify listeners).

I started this topic just to explain how I ended up liking some weird music. I would put it on in background or on headphones.

The final find in this genre was the symphonic metal group Within Temptation. There was a one time concert with an orchestra in Netherlands. It is 2 hours long and I bought the DVD. I have watched this several times years back. The lead singer so called "front woman" is Sharon den Adel. Very pretty. Now mother of 3.

I do not know where to link as most songs are good. I used to watch the whole concert on  good TV.

I linked to the end of one song which leads into a quiet song at 45 min. Around 51 minutes she is joined by Anneke van Giersbergen, also dutch and maybe the first front woman for a metal group when much younger. I heard every metal head would like her as his girlfriend.

The guitar or bass layer is her "Partner'  and father to 3 children.
She cleans up nice.
